Course Description
MC100, the Xgig Analyzer certification course, covers the technical fundamentals of using the Finisar Xgig protocol analyzer. It is intended to prepare the individual to pass the associated Xgig Analyzer certification exam, a part of the MCE program.

Course Objective
Students develop a working knowledge of the Finisar Xgig protocol analyzer in parallel with learning the appropriate skills to prepare for the Xgig certification exam.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course; however participants should note that this course will not teach protocol architecture. Therefore it is recommended that one of the folloing be met for maximum benefit:
  • Successful completion of a Medusa Labs protocol course (ML250, ML280 or ML350) or
  • Successful completion of an equivalent protocol course or
  • Equivalent working experience with protocol analyzers and/or protocols
Intended Audience
The class is intended for anyone desiring to know how to use the Finisar Xgig protocol analyzer and for those wishing to pass the certification exam.

This course is a combination of lecture and hands-on interaction with the Xgig analyzer.
