Jerry S. Rawls

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Jerry Rawls was elected Chairman of the Board in 2006 and was most recently appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2015. He has also served Finisar as Chief Executive Officer, President and a member of the Board of Directors from 1989 to 2008. From 1968 to 1989, he was employed by Raychem Corporation, a materials science and engineering company. At Raychem he held various management positions including Manager of Product Marketing, National Sales Manager, General Manager of the Aerospace Products Division, and General Manager of the Interconnection Systems Division. Mr. Rawls holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University and an M.S. in Industrial Administration from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma engineering honorary societies.

Kurt Adzema

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer in March 2010, Mr Adzema served as Finisar's VP of Strategy and Corporate Development since joining the Company in 2005. During such time, he led Finisar's corporate development initiatives including the merger with Optium. Prior to joining the Company, he held various positions at SVB Alliant, a subsidiary of Silicon Valley Bank which advised technology companies on M&A transactions, at Montgomery Securities/Banc of America Securities, an investment banking firm, and in the financial restructuring group of Smith Barney. Mr. Adzema holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Todd Swanson

Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, Research and Development

Todd Swanson joined Finisar in 2002. Throughout his career at Finisar, Mr. Swanson has held a variety of progressive roles, including Product Line Manager, Director of Marketing and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Finisar, he served in various R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales related roles for Princeton Lightwave, Aegis Semiconductor and Hewlett Packard's OptoElectronics Division from 1995 to 2002. Mr. Swanson holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from MIT.

Joseph Young

Executive Vice President, Global Operations

Joseph Young is currently Executive Vice President of Global Operations. Mr. Young joined the company in 2004 as Finisar's Senior Vice President, Operations. Before joining the Finisar team, Mr. Young was employed by Intel where he was responsible for the Enterprise Optics business unit. Prior to Intel, Mr. Young was Vice President of Operations at LightLogic and Lexar Media and, in his last position at Tyco/Raychem, served as Director of Worldwide Operations for the OEM electronics division of Raychem Corporation. Mr. Young has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an M.S. in Operations Research from the University of New Haven, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

John H. Clark

Chief Technology Officer & Executive Vice President, Telecom R&D

John Clark joined Finisar in January 2011. Prior to joining Finisar, he was Executive Chairman of Cogo Optronics, Inc., Vice President of SSD Development at Seagate Corporation, President, CEO, and Chairman of Iolon, Inc., and Vice President and General Manager of the Optoelectronics Business Unit at Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. Dr. Clark started his career with a joint appointment as Senior Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of California (UC) Berkeley. Dr. Clark holds a B.A. in Physics and a B.A. in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from UC Berkeley, and carried out his postdoctoral studies as the Oppenheimer Fellow at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Julie Eng

Executive Vice President, Datacom R&D

Julie Sheridan Eng is Executive Vice President of Datacom Engineering for Finisar. She has held various senior management positions within Finisar’s engineering organization since joining the company in 2003. From 1995 to 2003, Dr. Eng was part of AT&T/Lucent/Agere, primarily leading Agere’s transmitter, receiver, and transceiver product development for telecom and datacom markets. Dr. Eng holds a B.A. degree summa cum laude in Physics from Bryn Mawr College and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with honors from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She earned M. S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. She has published over a dozen papers and holds 7 patents.

Chris Brown

Executive Vice President and Chief Counsel

Chris Brown joined Finisar in August 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Brown was General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development for Optium Corporation after joining Optium in 2006. Prior to joining Optium, Mr. Brown was a partner at the law firms of Goodwin Procter LLP and McDermott Will & Emery. Mr. Brown holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Raj Cornelius

Vice President, Global Quality and Reliability

Raj Cornelius joined Finisar in 1999 in an Operations leadership role. In 2007, he became Vice President of Global Quality and Reliability. Prior to Finisar, Raj held several technical leadership roles at Raychem Corporation. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT in India as well as an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Katherine Watt

Vice President, Global Employee Services

Katherine Watt joined Finisar in 2007 as Vice President of Global Employee Services. She brings 35 years of HR experience, with 27 of those years in a leadership role. Prior to Finisar, Katherine led Human Resources for Genoa and Pacific Monolithics and had a consulting business working primarily with early stage start-ups in the Bay Area. Katherine holds a B.A. in Political Science and an MBA, both from San Jose State University.
